Independent Living
After 83 years we decided to move Mom across country from Boston into an assisted living facility. It was extremely scary and could have gone real bad. We took a tour of 4 facilities during the height of COVID, Sunrise at River took the necessary precautions needed but made you feel very comfortable and we just received great vibes after the tour. It was obvious that we were going to choose Sunrise at River. Mom entered the Memory Care Unit over a year ago, we have never seen her so Happy in a very long time. The staff is great, they truly care and they take an interest in all the residences, even past experiences before they were residents. The Director of Sunrise is very knowledgeable and has had a great background in working with assisted living facilities, you notice that upon entering Sunrise, they are like a big family! So Happy we chose Sunrise at River, Tucson Arizona.
Read moreThe staff that I have met are very happy, friendly, and professional. This has been a good community for my friend. There are lots of activities for the residents to choose from. I would recommend Foothills Place to others, and already have to friends. Some of the activities available include movie night, games, cards, exercise classes, and more for the residents to engage with.
Read moreThe recent change was rough at first but settling in. They still have a few kinks to work out. They are actively working at those. My loved one enjoys the food. The offer a variety of activities. They do don't try to actively recruit the residents into participating in those activities. That could need addressed. After a rough transitional period in the beginning, she settling in much better now.
