VDPP is different from most other Assisted Living Facilities, it's a family-owned business with the look, feel and elegance of a "Cape May NJ" Bed & Breakfast Inn! The Building and Grounds appeal are exceptional. The Staff takes great pride in providing a fine dining experience along with an active entertainment and activity schedule. Van Dyk's has met and exceeded the challenges of the Covid epidemic by maintaining stringent health standards. As the son of a loved one there, I've had the peace of mind that Mom has received great care. The Newsletter that's provided to Residents and Family, is always current, thoughtful and informative. I've come to know many of the Staff members personally, they've been most helpful and have showered my Mom with kindness! VDPP has provided my Mom the closest feeling to being at home!?
Read moreMy first impression was very orderly, festive, and well kept facility. I moved in as a respite resident post-surgery and wanted a safe transition until I return to my home in Brooklyn. For the past month, my experiences has been upbeat and comfortable. Many details were attended to and I feel safe to have stayed in the facility for a short period of time. When the need arises, I will definitely consider returning to Atria West 86th. I would gladly recommended Atria to anyone looking for respite or permanent stay. The atmosphere is welcoming and friendly from both staff and residents.
Read moreThe staff are absolutely wonderful and friendly. They really care about the people who live here. It is truly a community. My sister was very resistant to this change and within an very limited time she is happy and I don't have to worry about her falling or not taking her medication. I am no longer worried about the quality of life because she has great care here.
